The Fabian & Claude Walter Gallery was founded on March 20, 1986, at Riehentorstrasse 7 in Basel as a gallery for contemporary art. Over the past four decades, Fabian and Claude Walter have realized more than 350 exhibitions and art projects and have participated in numerous international art fairs.
On March 21, 2026, Fabian and Claude Walter closed their gallery exhibition spaces at Rämistrasse 18 in Zurich, thereby bringing to a close a significant chapter in their long-standing gallery career.
Fabian and Claude Walter will continue to advise and support their artists as well as their collectors in the future. Their focus will be on the realization of decentralized art projects and on art dealing, with a new location in Basel.
