They have been living and working together since 1982. In their work Stepanek & Maslin try to realize their similar romantic ideas. They paint landscapes, light-flooded forests, furrowed fields, misty mountains with cypresses and a mustard yellow sky. Often their works are created from quite banal models such as postcards sent to them by someone, after impressions from a books or a simple walk.
