At Booth 21, we are presenting a selection of iconic photographs by internationally renowned photographers: Manuel Álvarez Bravo, Werner Bischof, Édouard Boubat, Balthasar Burkhard, René Burri, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Frank, Gisèle Freund, Lee Friedlander, Saul Leiter, Robert Mapplethorpe, Jock Sturges, Christian Vogt, Don Worth, and others.
A particular highlight of the presentation is an important group of rare photograms from the 1960s by Roger Humbert, a pioneer of Concrete Photography. On the occasion of his solo exhibition at Fotostiftung Schweiz in Winterthur, opening on August 29, this selection emphasizes his continued artistic relevance.
We are also showing selected photographs by Sonja-Maria Schobinger from her series “Still lives”, “Trees” and “Anthemis Nobilis”, accompanied by a written contribution from Dr. Astrid Bextermöller, art mediator and art historian at Helvetia Art Insurance, Basel.
