Von Balthasar Burkhard (1944 – 2010) zeigen wir eine Auswahl von bedeutenden Fotografien aus den Werkgruppen der Städte (1999), Namibia (2000), Rio Negro (2002), Bernina (2002), Torso (2007), Falkenflügel (1993), Alpen (1993), sowie Heliogravuren und Collector’s prints. Im Kabinettraum der Galerie zeigt Annelies Štrba Werke aus ihrem aktuellen Werkzyklus „Madonnen“. Annelies Štrba ist seit ihrer Jugend von der Vielfalt der Muttergottes- Darstellungen fasziniert und hat über die Jahre ein umfangreiches Archiv von Marien Darstellungen angelegt. Mittels moderner, technischer Hilfsmittel gelingt es der Künstle- rin das klassische “Madonnenbild“ gleichsam in die Gegenwart zu transformieren.

We show a selection of important photographs by Balthasar Burkhard (1944 – 2010) from the work groups of the cities (1999), Namibia, (2000), Rio Negro (2002), Bernina (2002), Torso (2007), Falcon wing (1993), Alps (1993), as well as Heliogravures and Collector’s prints. In the gallery’s cabinet room we show from Annelies Štrba shows a series of works from her current work cycle “Madonnas”. Annelies Štrba has been fascinated by the variety of Virgin Mary’s representations since her youth and has created an extensive archive of Mary’s representations over the years. Using modern technical aids, the artist succeeds in transforming the classic “Madonna picture” into the present day.
