The Fabian & Claude Walter Gallery was founded in Basel on 20 March 1986 as a gallery for contemporary art and developed over the following four decades into an established presence within the art scene. During this time, Fabian and Claude Walter realized more than 250 exhibitions and art projects and regularly participated in international art fairs.

With its 40th anniversary, the gallery has reached a significant milestone: on 21 March 2026, Fabian and Claude Walter closed their exhibition spaces at Rämistrasse 18 in Zurich, thereby concluding an important chapter of their long-standing gallery activity.

In future, Fabian and Claude Walter will continue their art promotion work with their artists from Basel and will provide information about upcoming art promotion projects in due course.
